About Me
I’m a Linux System Manager at The Ohio State University where
I maintain 60+ mission critical Linux servers in The Center
for Human Resource Research.
I've been programming and using computers since 1979. My earliest programs were written in ALGOL on a Burroughs Mainframe using punch cards at the United States Air Force Academy. This motivated me to request a transfer into the Comp-Sci Honors program where I could use the terminals.
Technology interests me and I've written articles on "Micro Publishing" and LaTeX. I've also contributed code to the Python programming language. My Linux journey began in 1995 and I enjoy participating in the Central Ohio Linux User's Group (COLUG)
I serve as a Signal Officer in the Ohio National Guard and an extra class amateur radio operator.
